Jakarta Java Jazz Festival

The Java Jazz International Festival features world-class acts, including Herbie Hancock, Sister Duke, and David Sanborn, along with hundreds of other local and international groups. For three days, Jakarta harmonizes with the sounds of saxophones, guitars, and violins, in a whirlwind of concerts and culture that attracts music lovers from across the world.

The Java Jazz Festival began in 2005 with the express purpose of “bringing the world to Indonesia.” With a humble start, the festival has grown tremendously and now attracts 50,000 fans from across the globe. Attendees enjoy lively concerts that are interspersed throughout the city of Jakarta in popular venues such as clubs, mall, universities, and the Jakarta International Expo center.
